1st Annual Giving In Green County Christmas Program
November - December 2024
Our 2024 Christmas gift-wrapping event. Thank you to those that came to help!
This is where it all began! We created Giving In Green County to host our 1st Annual Christmas Program, as we realized there wasn’t enough support /resources within our community to help those in need during the holiday season. So, our goal for our Christmas Program was simple: we wanted to provide extra support families in need. This program was designed to help families who are in need of toys, hygiene products, household essentials, and/or clothing for Christmas. We ask them to create an Amazon wish list of their needed items. Then, we work to match volunteers with the families in need, and these volunteers then help sponsor the family’s Amazon wish list. We have all donations/gifts sent to our partner organization, Mainstreet Counseling LLC (Monroe, WI) and then we take care of all the gift wrapping and distribution of gifts to the recipient families!
In our very first year we were able to purchase $5,020 dollars in necessary gifts/items thanks to our 37 volunteers. We also were able to gift an additional $900 in Pick N’ Save gift cards, courtesy of Mainstreet Counseling. We were able to help 18 recipient families (68 family members)! We had such a successful first year!
Humane Society Supply Drive
March - April 2024
The Green County Humane Society had difficulties with supply-shortages in the Spring of 2024 and we wanted to help! With the help of our volunteers, we were able to donate dog and cat food, toys, treats, bedding, and cleaning supplies to the humane society!
Teacher Spotlight Series

Our Teacher Spotlight aimed to provide classroom supplies to local teachers! Any teacher in the Green County Area was encouraged to apply, and recipients were randomly selected.
Every week for 6-weeks, we posted a Teacher Spotlight graphic highlighting the local teacher, their background, accomplishments, and favorite part about teaching. In this post, we also linked their classroom wish list and encouraged community members to purchase items off the wish lists to donate!
Our 2nd Annual Christmas Program is underway!
